Rana cares to make a difference

Our History

The Community Respiratory Program provides education and support for children and adults diagnosed with respiratory disease.

Our goal is to help these individuals manage their disease with fewer hospital admissions, visits to their physician and absences from school or work.

In 1999, RANA joined the Brandon and Assiniboine Regional Health Authorities (RHAs) to develop a Community Respiratory Program for patients living in these communities. RANA's exceptional care through this highly successful program has already helped thousands of respiratory patients live more active, healthy lives experiencing improved overall health and quality of life.

Why does RANA provide this program?

The Brandon and Assiniboine Regional Health Authorities granted RANA the Community Respiratory Program contract, because of RANA’s demonstrated abilities to:

  • Educate patients and promote their confidence in equipment use
  • Complete ongoing and regular patient follow-up
  • Collect and report on the accurate use and costs of equipment and services to the RHAs
  • Offer efficient and cost-effective delivery of services to patients
  • Deliver this program in a location close to you
