Supplies (consumables)

• Soda Lime: not included in the price; must be ordered separately. RANA can calculate the amount of soda lime and oxygen you will require and supply your soda lime needs.
• Oxygen Cylinders: not included in the price; must be ordered separately. RANA recommends the mine obtain oxygen from their mine supplier.
• Batteries: included and supports a minimum of 36 hours of Refuge One operation. When electricity is available, the batteries are maintained under full charge.
• Note: Adding extra batteries and storing additional kegs of soda lime and oxygen cylinders in the refuge chamber extends the duration of life-support.

Testing

• Each Refuge One Air Centre is manufactured to field testing standards.
• Each unit must pass a series of performance tests and operational checks to ensure the unit meets manufacturing standards. These tests are included in our manufacturing process:
  • O2 standing pressure test
  • Battery capacity test
  • Blower CFM and free run test
  • Charger voltage and alarm point settings
